Huge pass on Ristolainen. Don't want him anywhere near the Sens. Not keen on trading Connor Brown either.

Nashville has Duchene, Johansen, Turris, Bonino, Sissons & Jarnkrok. They're pretty set down the middle.

I mean Granlund plays wing as well and the cap relief isn't needed till the offseason when both Granlund and Sheary are UFAs. Doesn't really seem to do much for them.

Yeah, I totally misread the details on that trade. Good catch. Still, Nashville passes. Even though Granlund hasn't found his groove there yet, he's still far more talented than Sheary.

For double the cost? Nashville can use that money for more depth. And he has done nothing in Nashville. Meanwhile I know wat u are getting in sheary and he can play with anyone on any line.

I think risto would be good fit. And can build something special on the back end. I didn’t think brown was so valuable either. Wat if we switched him with duclair

Risto is not the kind of player Ottawa needs on the back end. He's a good offensive talent, but he's a bit of a disaster in his own zone. He's a bad fit, because he won't get the offensive opportunity he needs to be successful, because Ottawa will want their young D (Chabot, Brannstrom,Wolanin) those opportunities, and rightly so.

Nashville doesn't have a cap problem this year, and Sheary isn't a need for them. If they wanted to move Granlund, they'd get better offers from several teams. Buffalo would need to add here.

Risto is not a disaster in his own end. This shows u never watched him play. He plays the pk and against top lines. He doesn’t play on top pp in buffalo and still puts up points on 5x5. So like I said he can take pressure off young d in Ottawa something they were hoping zaitsev was going to do but has failed.
