On the best defense the league has seen since prime Red Wings, hes a top 4 D on most other teams quite easily. Very underrated

I know he is underrated but he is not worth Kapanen. Maybe a 3rd and some kind of prospect sure.. but not much more to be honest with ya. Id like to see him on the Leafs with Rielly (he would be good defensive presence), but not for much more money because then he is just another #4/#5..

I feel like you are missing some relevant things here. Carolina sits in a position of strength in this trade, they want to add a top 9 forward and are bidding out Fleury and TVR. There are plenty of teams looking to improve their D core right now and Canes will sell to the highest bidder. If Toronto really wanta to sure up their right side Bracco (a guy despite getting lota of points in the A cant even get a call up when Marner is injured) isnt going to cut it.

The thing is, I probably wouldnt do this trade from Toronto's perspective until Marner is back or close to returning. Both have significant PK rolls for the team and leafs can only really afford to loose one

In what world does Leafs adding Virtanen and TVR....while minusing Johnsson and Holl help the Leafs this year? Plus losing some possible futures
