Dach in it to win it

Description
I think Dach will stay with the hawks for the long term. He has looked really good this stretch and I think with more time he will come to develop into a really good two way centre. Will he be our 1C? Im not sure yet but definitely a 2C.

The moves made while not likely to occur, give us some high potential prospects while not really effecting what we are building towards by giving up some assets in the way of Gus and Crow. Even if they only fetched 2nd rounders it would still be of benefit I believe. The Kampf trade makes sense to me. It would be interesting to see what others think? I think Weegar could help us and the fact he is RD is a plus.

This now brings me to next years moves, While bringing in Reimer I know it is adding a lot of salary though if we buyout both Reimer and/or Smith while re-signing the following I think it could work.

Kubalik - 2 x 2,400,000
Strome - 3 x 4,966,666
Lehner - 6 x 7,100,000
Weegar - 2 x 2,200,000 (alternatively, we could trade him or let another franchise sign his rights)
Caggs - ? (as much as I like him, I am undecided on whether we re-sign him or not)

In saying that more moves would have to be made to accomodate these signings I know but just thinking out loud here.

Tell me if I'm out to lunch here?

He's passed his 9 games so he's definitely staying with the Hawks. Hard to see NYI sending a 1st for Crow just because of their scheme differences. TBL maybe if there's an injury. Something to keep an eye on. They've had some injuries on the back end already this year. CAR definitely needs an upgrade in net if they want to do anything in the playoffs. It's pretty clear Mrazek/Reimer aren't the answer. Another one to keep an eye on for sure.

Unless Brodie is out long term after the incident yesterday Flames are in no need of LD depth, that and left wing are the only things they have abundance of. Valimaki should be back by playoffs ut if not Flames have Gio, Hanifin, Brodie, Kylington, Davidson down the left side

Weegar would become your best RD, if not your best d man overall... he's literally been FLA's best d man this year

Wow, I didn't realize this. What is FLA going to do going forward? It seems like they're in real cap trouble between Hoff/Dads/Weegar/Mont. I know they can't keep them all, but even just the RFAs might be tough.

Im happy for Dach and he has played well but its very concerning when every game he gets plastered into the boards. Wish they let him play his 9 games and sent him back to juniors to build up his strength for another year.
