If this offer was made to the Kings, I really hope they wouldn't turn it down. Would be a good way for them to get something for Kovi.

true but either can neal so he can play on his line and he has a bomb shot and can stick handle very well still. a guy would could still put up probably 40 pts especially if he plays with mcdavid.

not really, for how much he costs and we need to sign a bunch of players this offseason.

you are dumping as much salary as you are getting........ so he wont make a difference, he may even regain some value and you can trade him if you really want to.

No you aren't dumping as much as you're getting: Manning and Gagner are UFA's next summer, Kovalchuk has another year on his deal.

i guess you are right well in that case i would ask for 50% retention on the kings side and that would make it worth doing.
