Well, then Toronto should maybe keep Matthews and instead trade Marner. Plus, the last time I checked Toronto doesn't have any good goalies, so Kuemper would be an improvement, no? Bottom line is that Kyle Dubas blew Toronto's wad too early in the rebuild and traded away all of its draft picks only to build a team that is waaay overpaid and cannot make it out of the first round of the playoffs. This year, it is doubtful they will even make the playoffs.
