Practicing with AHL. No red “no contact” jersey. He’s practicing at FULL health. Looking very optimistic

I would give him until halfway through next season honestly. The Canucks have had a similar but less severe case of injuries significantly hampering development with Juolevi and it can take a while.

Yeah I’m not sure when he would be up with the kings. I say stay in the AHL the rest of this year see how His off-season goes and see where he’s at when training camp comes. But him just practicing is exciting for kings fans

He'll be ready much sooner than that. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we see him on the Kings in a month.

He's been NHL ready since he was drafted over 2 years ago. Injuries obviously played a big part in why we haven't seen him, but I highly doubt he'll spend much time in the AHL.

It's pretty unlikely to think that he'll step back on the ice and immediately have the same impact as before the injury. 2 years off from anything requires time to get back to feeling normal. The Canucks had a similar thing with Juolevi and they sent him down almost right away after being a cautious training camp and have given him extra days off in the AHL. He actually just got injured again too lol.

I'm not saying he will come in and make an impact right away, but keeping him in the AHL isn't neccessary beyond a 10 game conditioning assignment sort of the thing.

Hope not. But if they want to be very careful id play him in the AHL this year and then next year bring him up. Believe me, I want him up with the big club ASAP

I think it will be more like a short 10 game conditioning assignment type deal.
