I always liked Lievo and his game. I don't know what he ever did to land in Babcock's dog house but it seems like Babs made his judgement on him and that's where he was staying no matter what.

I had a listen this morning to the Mike Commodore podcast where he rips Babcock. It gave me quite chuckle.. I'm really starting to get the sense that Babcock needs to be gone soon - like yestetday.

If there's truth to Commodore's take then it sounds like Babcock is close to being a full blown narcissist. And if he is, then that's some nasty toxic stuff to be around, and I wouldn't expect him to be able to turn this ship around anytime soon.

....so NextYear, +15 - 20 wins per season is not worth a first rounder?
Just note the Leafs have won zero second games in back to back scenario - and that is exactly where most coaches use the backup goalie other than covering for injury to the starter
BTW + 15 wins is the difference between in or out of playoffs
So are the Leafs trading for Jarry or Louis Domingue or Anders Nilsson OR are they trading for a solid shot to get into the playoffs every season?

Look at what Leivo is accomplishing in Vancouver...he is exactly the kind of role player the Leafs need to provide the "talent" with a spine
...or to play Babcock's "heavy hockey" - BIG newsflash for Babcock & Dubious, Leivo's always going to weigh 192 lbs and Petan 175lbs
Not as easy physically to play against as Leivo as at is against Petan, Shore, Moore, Tymashov, Spezza, Nylander
Any wonder we don't really beat Boston?
Talent without heart is a losing proposition, a heart transplant is also needed with that coaching change

Yup. Lievo fits the lw mold of what we keep hearing that the leafs need. I really dont understand how that situation played out. Or why Holl was scratched for almost a whole year cause he wasn't good enough, only to somehow magically morph into a competent rhd this year. But after laughing my way through that Commodore interview something tells me that he could probably shed some light on the reasons behind the Leivo and Holl situations.

Babcock single handedly set back the team's development program by a couple of years with the BS that Leivo, Holl & Marincin were put through last season
