I'd want the 2020 1st regardless. It can be top 10 protected, but the demand will push the price for Hall higher.

I think Harley may be an untouchable for Dallas. He realistically could’ve made the roster as an 18 yr old this year. They decided to give him one more year of development which is the right move. I think that’s the one prospect where they don’t listen. But I think everyone else could be up for grabs

Dallas gets: Taylor Hall (no extension set in place)

NJD gets: Ty Dellandrea, 2020 1st, Mattias Janmark

I used the Stone trade as a comparable. Although Brannstrom > Dellandrea, the 2020 1st and Janmark are much more valuable than the 2019 2nd and Lindberg that Vegas sent + Vegas pretty much had a contract worked out for Stone the second the trade was made. Hall won’t with Dallas. I think the trade I suggest may be fair value. Don’t think DAL parts with Harley. Harley-Heiskanen seems to be the top pair for the next 15 years

Harley looks like such a Gem. Would be very tough for any team to pry him from Dallas. Hall may be enough though if Jim Nill wants to take a shot at the Cup.
