I doubt the Hurricanes do that deal. Plus...the Leafs are still over the cap after completing both trades.

Only in your dreams. Marner will never be traded by the Leafs as he is a franchise player. He will be the next captain after Taveres after Matthew leaves as a UFA for Arizona. Do you think Marner being injured might have something to do with their current losing streak? Name me a current Leaf that can play on 5x5, PP and PK as well as Marner?

I think this is an incorrect statement. Marner had one of the best 5on5 point production of any player in the NHL last year and way superior to Nylander. He is probably one of the main reasons that Tavares agreed to come to Toronto as a UFA as he requested to play with Marner. Marner has lead the Leafs in total points the last 2 years and would have lead the team in points in his first year as a rookie if healthy. Tavares was not even on the team for Marner's first 2 years. As far as I know, Nylander is not allowed to kill penalities like Marner. Marner brings alot more to the table than Nylander and plays with alot more passion. Do me a favour and google Mitch Marner hockey awards won in final year of junior hockey and then tell me if you honestly think that Nylander is a better player than him.
