Nice to know you have zero knowledge about the salary cap and how cap space accrues over the season

Tampa wouldn’t do this without an extension

I just had to look that up, but you are still wrong about why lol. Cap space doesn't accrue, that doesn't even make sense in the slightest. Its that the new team only needs to pay the cap hit of the remaining salary.

So instead of insulting me, you should explain the rule and get it right. Cuz while I was wrong, you still look like the idiot

Agreed. It's too much to give up for Hall - and Tampa can't afford the extension anyhow. I don't see a fit.

TB only has to pay in real dollars the remaining salary but the AAV or yearly average salary is now on the ledger of the new team. So TB has to find a way to take on a 6 million dollar cap hit. Which is just not possible without gutting their team.

So over time of the season the Cap amount lessens because of how much money you have already paid out so you have a certain percentage of the cut drops depending on how you cut the checks out. so they would be able to fit him into their Payroll. That's how I was told and thats how it was explained, but it's still a little fuzzy for me.

The Devils would come out like gangbusters again in a trade involving Hall.
