jets are getting fleeced for both trades. two good prospects, a first and a second are worth way more than Shawn Monahan.

a 1-2 punch of Scheifle and Monahan would be awesome
I dont think it will happen, because Monahan is pretty much untouchable IMO.

That's what im saying, it would need to be an overpay. A top 9 forward, an A- prospect and a 1st rounder isn't enough for a top line centre locked under term at a decent salary

For sure. Plus you trade away a Monahan and you spend the next 3-5 years trying to replace him. Either in free agency in an overpay, via trade by giving up assets or hoping you draft and develop someone .
One thing for sure, something is wrong in Calgary, but I dont know what it is or how they can fix it

I think a top 8 pick puts them back in the mix next year, along with a good goalie signing, Holtby maybe?
