If that's all it took to move Johnson it would have happened by now. Change the 4th to a 1st or top prospect.

They actually wouldn't have to move him to make this deal work and they don't want to move hi from the sounds of things right now because he is playing pretty well. That is not the point of the post anyway its more about filling needs the pens have

First, that's a huge over pay and the penguins are wise to never do something so foolish.

Second,

This is spoken by someone who doesn't watch games. No one is looking at JJ right now and saying he can't play. No one.

Yes they are lol He's not good. Sure, MAYBE he's a #6, but no one is paying a #6 $3.25M for 4 more years. That's what you're not getting. And again, if it was easy to move Johnson it would have happened already.

you just talk total garbage. it's not 4 more years to begin with.
No one said he isn't over paid. But being over paid by 1 million isn't nearly the huge issue you would like to make it. Especially on defense. It's not like winger where there are 1000000 of them out there who can play it decently. Teams have much worse on their blue line.

Sorry 3.75 years lmao if that makes you feel better. He's being overpaid by $2M+. And AGAIN, if it isn't a "huge issue", why they hell hasn't he been moved yet? If all it too was a freakn 4th to move him it would have happened. You'll need to attach a 1st or top prospect. MAYBE you could do two 2nds or 2nd+3rd with $1M+ eaten.

I’ll admit Johnson is having a better season than last year forsure. He hasn’t been a train wreck. But still, pens will shed that contract in the offseason. There’s no reason to shed it right now. I don’t think it’ll cost a 1st, but it’ll cost more than a fourth as well. My guess is pens will trade him similar to the scuderi/Daley trade. They’ll get someone back whose struggling/currently overpaid and hopefully they can bounce back on Pit.

Yeah that makes more sense for them to do. Won't cost as much then.

That's a lot to give for a New Jersey winger who has scored two goals this season.

Uh oh someones talking out of their ass again. You would make a terrible GM if you think JJ can only be moved with a 1st or top prospect. But cant argue with idiots so ill let you be

Will do my guy, we are playing great with him in the lineup so we shall continue to do that. You were probably one of the sheep also saying how Guddy would cost us a first to move too but we all know how that turned out. Have fun playing Gudas top 4 minutes id rather kill myself than see that

That is the almost as many as the players being sent back have combined, and if you add Vatanen in there he's got more goals then all of them, the point of the move is to make the team better right now and I think these moves do that. They may sacrafice the future a bit, but that isn't the point of the post

LMAO Gudas is a fantastic player. He's been a analytical darling for years. He's four times better than Johnson and Gudas put together. I'll will gladly play him top 4 minutes.
