I don't think taking on an ageing, soon to be declining Ryan Suter for 6 more years at 6M would be very wise. IMO

Any minny fan will tell you, Suter isn’t going anywhere, he basically runs that team.

And in no way do the wild retain any money on him If suter decided he wanted to be traded, I doubt he would waive to go to Toronto in the first place

You are 100% right Suter and Wild owner Leipold are BFF's. No way he ever waives his NMC. I wouldn't mind moving him except if he was traded, and then retired it could actually make the Wilds salary cap worse. Unfortunately for the Wild the only bad contract I could see the wild ever getting rid of would be the Zuccarello deal.
