The Leafs D core they have now is very good and above average. Its not Dubas' fault that coach and his assistant are using it poorly.

I disagree with that!!! 5 UFA on defense next year... No salary cap available, That's the GM job!!! And that defense right now is in the last 10 spots in the league. The coach isnh't the one, right, but he can't skate and put the puck outside the TML zone. Dubas wasn't ready for the job, mistake #1... add the Tavares contract... and the Muzzin's trade... and the Marleau's trade... The Marleau' contract was a mistake, but he was GMA....

Yeah Brett Pesce is definitely worth way more than Marner......I hate this site.

Never said that, but Pesce's contract/production + TT's contract/production is worth a lot more than Marner's contract/production
TT has a cap hit of 5.4M for the next 5 years, just had a 76 point season and is currently on a PPG pace. 10 extra points from Marner (who is playing with a superior center btw) is not worth 5.3M extra cap space

exactly. Marner is obviously worth more than Pesce and Turbo separately. With their power combined they are better and cheaper than Marner. Unless Toronto wants to give us Kapanen or Johnsson for some futures, I dont see a Car-Tor trade this off-season

I have. It was the only part of Leafs that worked rather well against columbus despite most of the defensemen being out of form or straight up looked horrible lol.

well the first person commented on it, it came to the top of the list. I eagerly opened it waiting to see what fresh Car-Tor hell was waiting for me. I never looked at the date and commented. Didnt even realize it was from November until you just mentioned it.
