As Wings fan I would love it, but Zadina is now hurt after playing better the last 6 games and Cholowski though promising are not getting you those two players.

Absolutely not a snowball's chance in hell. Given team needs, there is exactly one (1) player in the Red Wings organization that we would accept as the return in any Werenski deal, and that would be the childhood friend that folks seem to want to reunite him with. Throwing in Anderson just makes this an overwhelmingly egregious rip-off.

Theoretical future value is not equal to actual value. Cholowski is a hypothetical top 4 defenseman and Zadina is a hypothetical top-9 NHL forward. Werenski is an actual #2/3 NHL defenseman. Not sure how people don't get this concept. And this is coming from a Wings' fan. This is like saying I'll give you an ounce of silver for your $50 bill.

I think once he learns how to find space and play away from the puck at the pro level he'll be fine. Probably not 40-goal-scorer fine but I think he'll hit 30 at some point with that release. Shot is lightning fast when he gets it off.

I agree with all of you Werenski would be great to have but this trade is really bad, really really bad. If I was Columbus I'm not sure that would trade Anderson alone for that. As a Wings fan I'd like to apologize for this.

That's pretty rich coming from a Habs fan.

Absolutely, some of us actually watch him play in the AHL unlike you just stat watching. Point pace is picking up but more importantly he looks good

Columbus doesn’t need wingers... we need better centers. PLD is looking like a top center and both Wennberg and Jenner are solid 3rd line guys. Any trade with Detroit for Werenski would have to include Veleno who has the potential to be a second line center. If you also want Anderson you’ll have to add a player such as Cholo or Hornek in the trade.

Last thing, if this is meant to be next year, I’m pretty sure Askarov is still signed in the KHL and ineligible to sign in the NHL.

I mean we made the right choice, it was Detroit fans laughing at us saying how much better Zadina was. Then his quote of how he was going to fill our net with goals, and now he is in his second year in the minors. Here we are almost two years out from that draft and its pretty clear the top 4 in the draft deserved to be drafted ahead of him.

Yeah I agree you needed a center you took a center. I was referring to your comment saying Detroit overvalues their players something Montreal fans on this site do quite often. So when you made that comment I just fired back. With Zadina I still think Detroit should've taken Hughes.

Honestly, I wouldn't go for Veleno in a Werenski trade. Werenski is a roster player and I'd want a roster player back, not futures.
