That NYR trade is awful, as is the contract for Kreider.

Not even close. His closest comps are Tatar (4 years x 7.07%) and Nyquist (4 years x 6.75%), meaning he'll get about $5.5 - 5.9M AAV.

And that trade: Yamamoto is worth a late 1st + Benning is worth a mid 2nd + you've added the 2020 1st. No way in the world he's worth that much as a rental.

Also: in his prime? He'll be 29 in April, that's not prime anymore. You don't give him an 8-year contract at 29.

Pageau will fetch the Senators at least a 2nd. If he continues to shine, then some GM will be desperate to offer a 1st. You can keep Gagne and Mantha.

The trades are not balanced, won't happen like that.
No way Manning or Ganger are accepted.
Better 2 focus on Pageau, he could deliver contention..-~
