Kings are not taking Backes and he is not waiving for them.

Not trading Heinen for a rental.

No crap lol this trade is like saying the bruins get Kakko for Backes lol the bruins would obviously accept

@braisman cmon man this is not good, the kings trade isn't bad, but the bruins would never do it... The NYR trade is terrible

Dude, to break it down for ya...

Heinen is a really good player and he is gonna get better yet. He nearly put up 50 points a season ago.
They also are given a 2nd rd pick.

All for a guy that is on an expiring contract who will probably leave at the end of the season for nothing. This is a good trade for NYR as Heinen fits perfectly into the teams plans and is a very fast skilled player to play with Zibanejad or on the 2nd line.

Hate to break it to you folks, but Heinen isn't that good and he's very replaceable given the forward depth we have. If we can get rid of backes, we'll have 44M of cap space for next season. Krug could get 8, Debrusk takes a three year deal at around 4, Chara would be 2m or less, Halak approximately the same as he has been at 2.75, Coyle for around 4.5, Kreider for 7, which adds up to about 28.5M. Leaving 15.5 Million dollars for Gryz, Bjork, Toffoli (if he fits in) and the 4th line guys. This would be an outstanding situation. Heinen isn't much of an upgrade over Kuhlman, Bjork, Ritchie, and we have studnicka in the pipeline.
