As a Wings' fan, I'll take the Green trade.

I don't think that Green is the kind of defenseman that the Preds need -- I like Braun more for that role, and he could be had for less. Also, I'd like to keep the 2020 1st -- I would make the Kreider trade a 2020 2nd that turns into a 2021 first if he resigns with the Preds or the Preds make the 2020 Stanley Cup Finals.

I think its a bit of an overpay, but you kind of have to if you want salary retention. It says the Preds have 10m in deadline cap space so retention might not be needed. I think Green on the 3rd pair in Nashville would be a good fit for Green and the Preds.

Green is more mobile than Braun isn't he? That was kind of my goal for the 3rd pair. As far as Kreider you have to remember that there will be a lot of teams going for him and the Rangers will want a 1st for sure bc a lot of other teams will offer one.

I think they just need a bigger body that can kill penalties -- frees up Josi/Ellis to play more 5v5 and powerplay and not be as tired.

Most Wings' fans will be pretty thrilled to get a second for him at this point.

Both struggling players that might benefit from a change of scenery. I think it is a good fit for both teams.

Imagine:

Guentzel - Crosby - Granlund

This would be a solid line!!!!!!
