Hyman has 0 finishing skills. There is no reason to have him on the powerplay when they have johnsson, Tavares, moore, kapanen, mikheyev and engvall, marchment and Korskov in the system. Muzzin is probably a better net front option

Hyman Had 21 goals last year.
He plays with heart and gets every lose puck. That's what the PP needs.
He is always in front of the net so not sure what you are watching.

He also had an extremely high shooting percentage and that will come down. Unless he is being setup backdoor he is pretty much ineffective when it comes to scoring. I play with heart so does that mean I can play on the first pp unit? Nope because i would be a **** show, I could also go to the net but that doesnt mean I would do anything. He rarely gets possession of a loose puck but "you watched the games" so you know better. I've watched all the games and it's not hard to tell that he just pins the defender and creates a distraction so one of his linemates can get the loose puck. Hyman is a very effective player but he has shown that he does not have the offensive skills to play on either powerplay unit

A player that pins the guys so his linemates gets the puck is what they are suppose to do. First guy in is suppose to take body. Hockey 101. Hence Marner and Tavares struggle a bit without Hyman.
He may not be there number 1 option on the PP, but he sure would not hurt them, as this team is in need of someone getting to pucks first and battling hard in all areas of the game.

If we are talking hockey 101 then no player should be dumping the puck in at all unless they have no other option or in the middle of a change (that still isnt the best option for that) so... remember back when komarov was on the powerplay and provided nothing and even hurt them because of his talent? Hyman would be doing the exact same thing. Hes not a very good shooter, passer or tipper. The only thing he would contribute to the powerplay is puck retrieval off a dump in and dumping the puck in is the last thing you want to do

Oh my god he must be the best player on the leafs. Did he get it by going into the corners and playing with heart? Nope he was infront of the net and put the puck in. Kapanen would have scored if hyman didnt turn around. He was pretty much standing in front of the net, that could have been gauthier standing there and we still would have scored on the powerplay. Such a valuable piece on the powerplay

Being a net front guy is a skill, that a lot of guys have made acreers out of. So NO Gauither probably does not get there or screens the goalie like Hyman does. Didn't say he's the best player either, your just mad that your wrong about Hyman. If the Leafs had more players that play the way Hyman does they would win more games.

You're. I was wrong about hyman but he still isnt the best option out there. He happened to get lucky but there are way more skilled players who can do the same thing and do it better. Komarov was on the 2md pp unit when he was in TO and he hurt the pp way more then he helped it

Yeah ok but Quick's getting old and isn't very Quick anymore. I think we need to get more goalies instead of giving them away

Make Petersen the starter and give Quick 30-35 games
