I don't really see why the Caps would do this. I don't see anything in Sam Bennett, and Panik hasn't really had the time to settle in with the Caps.

It's definitely not an all-in move. Bennett is five years younger than Panik, so he might have time to evolve some of the defensive game that makes Panik still valuable on his current contract, and he might one day break 40 points, like Panik did in Chicago, two years ago.

Throwing in Stephenson for Quine is painful.
