Description
Grind Line Podcast said on twitter the asking price for AA from Montreal should be "a 1st and a prospect" and even through out Cole Caufield's name! i think this is an EXTREME overvaluation for an average player who seems amazing because he is fast

still college players. Hughes was bounced around coming from that environment to the NHL... yeah he found his ground but is still not doing nearly what he was hyped to do. And he is a much more skilled forward. Caufield has a Boeser-like shot in a kid's body. It won't take much in this league to get to an individual like that. He might be a Hoffman-type powerplay specialist, but I cannot see him being that elite gamebreaking forward that habs fans see him to be.

so AA is far from just fast. he has good hands and is a better than average finisher and offensive player. that being said id trade him but to help the blue line not for more forwards

I completely agree if he's moved its for a good young defenseman.

As is NOT worth Caufield alone, let alone adding a 1st. Don't let these Detroit fans tell you otherwise.

I'm not even a detroit fan. I don't think AA is 2nd line/top 6 quality enough yet. I also don't think they are looking to move him.

However I don't like that people view Caufield as the next best thing in hockey. A good prospect, sure. A great shot, sure. Team defining? No.

1 game? not the 64 where he scored 72 or the 7 where he scored 14 (U18 tournament)

I don't think he's "team defining" either, but I do think he has more value than Athanasiou.

Being average with speed doesnt get you a 30 goal season, just ask Darren Helm. AA is very skilled forward. Dont be dumb.
