LA is quietly building a really solid prospect pool, especially with Vilardi potentially in the picture again. I think they need to look at Drysdale in the draft this year, as they could use a high-end defenseman, but given their record they might not have a choice but to pick Lafreniere, Byfield, Perfetti, or one of the Swedish wingers.

What reports have you read that indicate Turcotte will play college another year?

After reading the article on the Athletic today about Turcotte, I would put money down that he is in the NHL next season, if not this season (if Wisconsin doesn't make the Frozen Four).

None. It's just a personal hope, based upon no evidence other than my own experience and beliefs.

I hope not. I loved my time in Madison and had a very close friend from Elk Grove. Even if he goes back to school at age 40 and gets his degree, it won't be the same as doing it at 21; but I understand the realities and would accept his leaving after two years. This is an entirely subjective viewpoint based upon my own experience. I'm glad I finished in the normal time.

I would like to see the Kings pick Lafreniere and pickup either Krug or Pietrangelo via FA. Probably a pipedream though. I could see Walker turning into a 45-50 defenseman soon, but we do need more top end defensemen. Prospects or NHL guys.
