Description

John Hynes' line combinations lately have been questionable. It is clear that his top two lines of 9-13-63 and 44-86-21 have not gained traction and have not produced in recent games. Putting Hughes with Hall and Palms gives the opportunity for two highly skilled players to play with the other at an intense pace, along with a guy that can absolutely rip it in. Having those two guys (Hall and Hughes) to set Palms up seems like the right line. Its what has worked in the past. As for the second and third lines, those are all guys that have amazing chemistry playing together. 37-13-63 have played very well together in the past. Especially Nico along with Zacha. The rest is pretty self-explanatory. Thoughts?

Need to put high iq players together.
wood hughes palms is an incredibly dumb combination. Am i surprised? not at all.
Truthfully speaking hall should be scratched because hes played that bad. Yes i get he is still the best player. But he should ride the pine one game to get the message.
I would like to see as the system is broken and hopefully these line combinations will just run and gun. If it fails good welcome lafreniere to replace hall and maybe get a new coach.

While i don't necessarily want palms on the 3rd line - gusev coleman and zajac have been okay.
Gusev has been the most dangerous in the ozone (honestly just because he actually shoots) he very evidently processes play faster than zajac and coleman, we need him attacking rather than defending.

boqvist suffers a little in this loadout, BUT, i think learning this role and to play with grit alongside two guys who actually do generate offense and chances will pay huge dividends in the years to come

I couldn't agree with you more! as for boqvist, I'm okay with him "suffering" a bit right now, because since the probability of hall sticking around is slim, hell slot into the top 6 automatically when that happens and in years to come, that grit he's developing (and already showing) will pay off immensely!
