29 other teams will give New Jersey a better offer than that for Hall.

And with EK having an anchor contract, I think he's staying in SJ for life.

I Disagree with you . Hall is on his final year on this contract .. therefore he is viewed as a rental player. Teams can only give up soo much when they aren’t 100% sure he’ll re-sign there. Flames are looking for an identity. They’ve got star forwards but lack the star Dman. Karlsson would bring them that if they’re willing to part way with one top 6 forward and one bottom 6 forward. And a 3rd rounder. Not a huge price to pay if you ask me. As far as his 11M contract is concerned, yeah that seems like a lot now but the Cap has been rising on average 1.5-3M per season. In two years that 11M will be more like a 7-8M AAV. As far as the Barrie trade.. Toronto is an absolute **** show organization, They need a stay at home D man like Dillon and a backup, not sure Dell is the answer but he’s better than any other backup they’ve got right now. And Spezza just wants to play hockey, the leafs are ****ing him.

These deals will never happen. EK trade sucks for us, Hall trade sucks for them. Last trade sucks in general
