Had the trades that sent these players away not happened and/or had we resigned these guys, there's still too many holes. The D core is still bottom third, goaltending isn't strong enough, and the team still lacks a true #2 center. Hopefully the rebuild starts bearing more fruit soon.

The problem is I don't know that the wings have the assets to do that. Unless they wanted to move AA and his -21 rating...
