Don’t think Det trades Bert. He is the junkyard dog type player that contending teams need. Obviously, Det is a few years away from contending but he’s a core piece they our building around. The only core type player I see Det trading is AA.

Detroit wants to win the lottery and have a decent amount of defense prospects, this heavily favors Buffalo

Not sure how trading Bertuzzi helps, they already have 3 picks in the 1st two rounds and are losing with him. They have several defenseman in GR with Seider, Mcissac, Kaski & G. Lindstrom,. Yzerman stated when he arrived that he wants players with heart, which I believe Bert has in spades. I agree if there is a core player to be traded it will AA.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, I was looking at Detroit as the team with the most Goals Against and thought hey might be willing to "sell high" on Bertuzzi who is having a great season. If more needed to be added I would. Just looking for an option to get Buffalo out of the basement.
