I want to see Parise and Suter traded and then both retire the last year of their contract. Just to see if the league would hit the team with a $40m-$50m recapture penalty for that one season. tears of joy

Suter for a 4th (the same value as Stalock here)... He has a bad contract, but he's still a #1 d-man whose game will decline but shouldn't fall off a cliff. Huh?

Hard pass from Columbus. We aren’t giving away a 2020 1st. Also the 1st should go to Columbus for taking Parise and his contract.

Zero chance either Parise or Suter waive their NMC for Columbus and Montreal respectively. No reason for them too. Montreal isn't much better then Minnesota both chose Minnesota for a reason. And good luck trading those contracts.

You are not a Wild fan I'm guessing. Suter and Parise are not tradable assets. Kinda the story of 2 wrongs don't make a right. Their contracts going forward will not match production and would hurt any future team. They are both good players and good veteran leaders, but not 7.5 mil per year good. If the Wild trade them and they were to retire the NHL could impose a recapture penalty that would devastate the Wilds salary cap, so they go no where. The Ottawa trade is awful for the Wild. The Buffalo trade might be alright.
