I feel like this is an overpayment for Buffalo, especially because Toffoli has 1 YL. Shouldn’t cost much more than a 2nd and a prospect.

whoever gets Toffoli is going to be in for a nice surprise. I actually think he would be a really good bargain add for Buffalo to fill out your middle 6.

Hes playing with Carter and Kopitar. Put him on the Sabres roster and hes not going to fit in the system and probably will be playing with Mittelstadt. Not a recipe for success. Toffoli isnt going to carry a line in Buffalo, and thats what the Sabres need

Tofolli is such an asset and analytical "darling" that last week his coach healthy scratched him on a basement team!
Teams struggling that did not want this before US Thanksgiving (Buffalo, Nashville, TO, Tampa, SJ, Cal etc.) are not, and should not, shovel out bottom-6 garbage for more of the same. If you're gonna shake the group and get back in the playoff race don't shuffle the chairs on the f'in Titanic. 1st-order task is to find a dance partner that will trade top-6 garbage for one of yours....No?

If Kopitar is on the downswing and LAs rebuilding, give me Kopitar then. Juice the most out of his remaining years instead of wasting assets on yet another complimentary winger that comes to Buffalo and fizzles out.

Idk anymore bro, but im at the point id give up almost anything other than Eichel Reinhart Skinner (and thats only because these 3 are the only ones that can score and trading them for a scorer doesnt advance the Sabres)

Also they likely aren't trading him anyway and the cost would be prohibitive if they did. You wont find better value than Toffoli.
And by fizzle out I assume you mean break out because Toffoli is currently drowning on the Kings and should pull a Neiderreiter (very similar charts) when traded.

Look at what Neiderreiter did.
Toffoli is Neiderreiter 2.0
considering the price it is worth a gamble
