This is so bad for the Leafs. Losing NHLers on the team and only getting one in return. If you're going to get rid of any Leaf Dman why not get rid of the worse one, instead of following the usual Ceci is so bad nonsense.

Yea, this is a terrible deal for the Leafs. If the Flames trade a D it is likely Brodie when he is back for offensive help. As they have scored 5 goals in their last 6 games.

Gee why have some "good" teams go on real bad stretches and some good team go on a real good winning run. It will all even out at the end of 82 games. It's really difficult to know how just getting a couple of different players will really help a team.
Leafs made the initial right move by removing Babcock. IMO, Leafs wouldn't have major player moves till next summer and even those will be partly cap oriented.

Both teams decline, none of the playera coming back actually help Calgary and leafs dont have th cap to trade away their cheap depth pieces for 1 guy. No knes going to take Ceci just so leafs can have cap

I'd love to get Hamonic from CGY... I don't thinkCalgary does this deal.

I think the Leafs do this all day long contrary to what some others may see. Hyman is a great plugger, Petan and Moore are replacable - but this exchange does not have value for Calgary
