I wonder if Ceci is going to get moved before too long. He's not at all terrible, I think he's definitely an NHL player but I don't know if he can play his off side and if they move Dermot to the top pair, I'd rather have Sandin come up and play 3rd pair with Holl than put Ceci on the off side.

No, but we don’t really need anyone to. I liked the pairs last game. Seems like the kind of defence you can roll all 3 pairs for minutes and try and keep muzzin and Holl on most of the top line minutes. Ceci and Rielly actually looked pretty good together. Don’t know why he gets so much flak. We have 6 nhl Dmen 3lh and 3Rh. Think that keeps things simple.

He literally has never been anything special. Since he's been in the NHL, at best he's been pretty okay, but more often than not he's been average.

he was really good because everyone else on our team was really bad. Benning looks like an all star next to him. But I guess it’s his first game of the year really. Just like how Nylander was brutal last year.

Nope, its because Larsson isn't really any good. He's just an average stay at home defenceman. Definitely worth a roster spot but I'd say he's overpriced and massively overrated on here. He's just stay at home #4

Most of the mistakes by the defence were system problems. They were instructed to chase behind the net and into the corners while the forwards stayed high to protect the point and that left the slot open all the time. I think a tonne of those issues are going to be fixed with Keefe's system.

I agree with this. Even with the first game with Keefe, Ceci lead the team in ice time.
Rielly and Barrie have made a lot of defensiv emistakes this year. Hopefully with a new system this will be cleaned up.
