If they can get a 4th I will be happy. Anything better is a bonus but clearing cap space and preventing hakstol from playing him is huge. The ability to run a 22 or even 23 man roster will be a relief and a goalie who can put up around league average numbers that can play 30ish games truly makes them a contender. If a new backup can even be a .910 goalie it will keep Andersen fresh for the playoffs, hes seemed worn down by round one- he wont get any fresher as they get deeper (if they get deeper)

People on capfriendly have blinders on regarding Ceci. Was he bad Ottawa? Yeah they played him minutes he had no business playing especially with guys younger than him.

In Toronto he hasn't been any worse than any other D on the team so far. He actually looked very good playing Keefe's style and right now I just want to roll with this group of players and see how they play with a coach playing them to their strengths.

If by TDL, Ceci has continued to play even just okay, there will be a team who takes him and since most of the contract is paid, teams will only really be dealing with a cap hit.

Anyway more power to the people who want to have blinders on...I mean...being uninformed has a cost too.
