Difference is there’s a lot of young talent that can prove themselves to play better than Toews. He’s exiting his prime and maybe the Olympics can make him shine once more. Price on the other hand is the best goalie in the world, especially if he has this team in front of him. It’s a face. Any time he’s played internationally in the past decade he’s won.

Is this a "what a Canadian Olympic would look like if the Olympics were happening in 2020" or is this in the spirit of what a team would look like IF the NHL went to the 2022 games? Clearly, it matters. Either way, I cannot see Hall or Giroux being part of this group. 100% Ryan O'Reilly would be on this team, as would Braydon Point. I would not be at all surprised, if he continued his pace, to see Travis Konecky crack this team as well. If people remember from one of the previous World Championships, Point centered a line between Marner and Konecky. Damn they were fun to watch. If Steve Yzerman is put in charge of this group, I think Jonathan Toews is back as well.

On D, I think Shea Weber would still make this make this team. And not that I am the biggest fan of his, but based on his recent performance, I think Dougie Hamilton cracks this team as well

this is a 2020 group. you'd be insane if you didnt have Hall on this team. tho I can see G not making it and having guys like ROR, Point, Segs, or Toews over him potentially. I like travis but theres no one i take out to fit him in at this point in time. Also i forgot dougie was canadian but only player i see him making it over is makar due to his 'youngness'

If this was a 2020 group, I would still take out Hall. As for Makar, he is all world. The "too young" debate, as far as I am concerned, should not apply to Cale Makar, he is all world.
