I also do not see Sergachev on Tampa next year.. he a 3rd pair D with PP ability .. sort of a larger Tory Krug from Boston .. with Hedmen in Tampa his PP is nil. HOWEVER I see him fetching alot more than above .. obviously Yzermen traded for him so there is some history .. I would bundle him with Joseph in trade .. Shatterkirk is all Setgcahev should be this year .. but cant

a 21 year old dman who puts up 30 pts, hes only going to get better in his own zone plus hes big. He will never be hedman or a defensive specialist but thats ok. if you really think you aren't going to sign him then trade him for pics now an do better than the 2nd rounder you think he'll fetch. ill give you that second right now plus green or daley or ericssson whatever throw away dman we have and retain money right now for him.

Krug has been been a 3rd pair for majority of his career... watch the games junior.. he paired with Millar Mc Quiad etc. Good solid stay at home RD .. other than PP he was always a playoff negative until last year when he was great!

On to Tampa .. Sergachev Joseph and a 1st to Devils for Hall and Vantenen
Sergachev TJ and pieces to Calgary for Gaudreu and Harmonic
Sergachev is highest trade value for Tampa .. package him with a shrimp for 2 solid veteran players and Tampa has Cup chance .. if not they may not make playoffs but Toronto blowing up so that helps

First, Sergachev is not being traded. He is a future too 4 dman who is only 21 and once again showing improvement this season. He is easily better than Cernak so far this season and with Shattenkirk being a 1 year player for us, there is no reason at all to trade one of Tampa's top 4 dmen going forward. Also, trading him, Joseph and a 1st for two rentals is pathetic, as crippling future depth for one run is what bad GM's do. Thankfully Tampa has a solid to good GM, so no worries. Hamonic is also not worth it as he will also not resign in Tampa(as he has family in western Canada and likely only wants to play near them) and Calgary won't trade those guys for that package anyway.

I hope we can resign Shatty at least 1 more year under 2.5 mill...
Agree Serg stays unless he demands the big bucks, which he doesn't deserve( like 4.25 mill$ +).

No way Cernak 1.5 mill $ to topic opener, you're dreaming dude... he is worth much more... that would be a Labanc deal... don't look at point totals...
Defense player = need to be good at defending, except when u r producing 80+ points like not a lot of players, then the points matter.... usually it's the forwards who carries the D points totals... yes u can't be on Girardi's grandpa level, but if you're really decent and u play 24/7 Kucherov/Point, you will get a lot of points by default... + powerplay ofc...

Cernak = Big and physical and really good at defending = can demand good money and lots of years if we can afford... like 4mill+ $ x 7 years or smth like that, or a bridge deal is fine for 3 mill $ +... anyone who watches our games can tell you that cernak is really good in almost every game... when we lose we don't lose because of him... yes he lately lost his points mojo, but it can come back... around 20 points is fine... in 70-75 games...

PS: The last team in whole NHL who offersheets us is Detroit Red Wings ...zzz...you guys never learn...
