I think what the Flames need is a legitimate 1C. Pageau and Monahan are great 2Cs

Lindholm is a beast but I thought he's best suited at 2C. Maybe I'm wrong, but Calgary has 4 top 6 forwards but none of them are bonafide 1st line material. Tkachuk maybe? Only knock on him is skating. Gaudreau with his perimeter play is starting to show and his unwillingness to go to the dirty areas now is affecting his point production. Again maybe I'm wrong.

No matter what they get back, Calgary shouldn't trade their 2020 first-rounder until they have clinched a playoff spot, which in my personal view, they will never do.
