The Jets have an excess of top six wingers and are a bit thin down the middle even with Scheifele so that wouldn’t work.

Scheiffele is a good 1C but he's not a great or elite 1C, he's pretty bad on the defensive side of the game and in the defensive zone he's often lost or completely out of position.

That being said it'd have to be a pretty big overpay for the Jets to part with him.

The Little injury has moved one guy up but other then that who's the surplus top 6 winger, guess Perreault can be used in a top 6 role but he's really a 3rd line winger and there's no indication that Vesalainen is even an NHL player yet let alone a top 6 winger.

This team is thin down the middle and thin in a few other positions as well.

Jets don't need another winger, Ehlers Connor Laine Wheeler, Roslo, Perrault, Vesa in the system
