Team: 2019-20 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 24, 2019
Published: Nov. 24, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
NJD
  1. Bjugstad, Nick
  2. Galchenyuk, Alex
  3. 2020 1st round pick (PIT)
  4. 2021 2nd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
Devils can flip Bjugstad and Galchenyuk each for 2nd round draft picks at the deadline. That would give them 1 first round and 3 second rounders for their rebuild.
2.
LAK
  1. Aston-Reese, Zach
  2. Johnson, Jack
  3. 2021 3rd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
JJ has been playing great this year and is very solid in the PK. Kings need to rebuild. This works cap wise.

Devils and Kings decline. Devils wants to become contenders soon so trading for draft picks doesn't make a lot of sense. Also the value is way off. You won't get an elite player like Hall and a top 6 forward like Palmieri for a 1st and what you value as 3 seconds (doubt it though, especially Bjugstad. Devils will likely get better trade proposals at the TDL for just Hall.

Kings have to rebuild or retool but they don't get anything which could actually help in the rebuild. Again, they could get a trade which would be more valuable to them

yeah I think they move them individually to get more of the return they want , not guys they have to go flip again. im not of the opinion they move palmieri at all unless they get a crazy offer for him.

I'm not talking about this trade in any way.

But the devils are in full rebuild mode the second Hall walks out the door.
There isn't enough talent on the team to win with him, there sure as hell won't be to win without him. And no one is going to give them enough to completely rebuild for a rental. Which is exactly what hall is, and that;s not changing.

I completely agree about Hall, but ZAR has been fantastic this year, and a third isn't nessicarily bad, and JJ's contract as I've said before is no where near as bad as people say it is, negative value, yes, worth like 3 three first round picks to move, no, and while I think LAK rejects this deal, it shouldn't cost much more if at all to make this trade with

Isn't Martinez having a rough year? I think an RFA ZAR and a third is reasonable for him at this stage. JJ is no longer considered a dump these days, he is actually playing really well.
Devils are definitely going to need to rebuild at the end of this year and I don't know how a one year left Palms is going to help them during the rebuild.
Hall and Palms will probably get dealt separately but I don' t know if they would garner more than a 1st and 3 2nd rounders.
