Staal wont leave and we dont want him
he like Tavares publicly snubbed the Habs

Brodin isnt worth any of the prospects offered by himself .
he was drafted just as the rules changed by a team that still hasnt got on board with todays speed based NHL .

Brodin every year since his rookie season has declined as the league's gotten faster .
MTL doesnt want another Alzner Situation taking on an out dated D who cant learn the league's pace to save his life .

Nathan Beaulieu is a player we very simularly drafted to fit the old NHL's style and paid for it .
MIN to stubborn to walk away now but if Brodin cant play sheltered minutes behind Ryan Suter then no way in heck can he handle the minutes Chiarot's putting him

Jets pass, you'll have to overpay for copp, he can pk, play PP1, he can be a B tier 2c, a really good 3C. Hes basically a Swiss Army knife. Trading for him and putting him on the 4th line would be such a waste. He might not have a lot of value to other organizations but the Jets value him super highly as he’s crucial to their system.

Poehling and 2nd gets you Staal. Jules and Lehk does not get Brodin.

The other 2 have zero interest in those offers.

This year he’s taken a huge role, he’s averaging around 15-18 mins a night right now.

He’s probably usually around 10-15 a night though. He is super crucial to wpg though.

You are right... we have depth... KK, Suzuki, Danault will our TOP 3 for the next 5-10years
Staal for 2 years would help in getting everyone to fullspeed at C

My call is: Poehling, Juulsen, 2nd for Brodin
and Lehko for Staal value wise

Thing is the D situation isn't really that poor, what the Jets really need is Armia back! lol

Reject x3.

#1 Montreal isn't interested in trading future core pieces for old and broken down veterans.
#2 Montreal isn't going to trade solid depth pieces for more depth and get worse in the same trade.
#3 This one is 50/50, but I know Bergevin doesn't want a piss poor attitude like Pulji on the team.

in your system he may be ok
you're system is based on being big and slow

bring him to the east and watch him struggle like Shattenkirk

its a different game out here something everyone forgets.
but as more and more West teams lean into the Speed portion of the Game
MIN left playing the same style they were in 2009

Great bunch of Fans in MIN and one of the best Systems in US Hockey in the Wilds home State but you're still choosing not to adapt to todays game .

i mean you need size in the playoffs for sure but look at STL,BOS,WSH and VGK who make up the 4 teams from the past 2 SCF.They're based on Speed and Size finding a nice balance but in MIN they coach a size based system expecting players like Fiala to adapt instead of trying to carve out a dedicated role for him like MTL did Byron who has become a huge part of our identity as a Speed based team the past few years .

You clearly don’t know who Jonas Brodin even is. He’s not big AND he’s an elite skater...easily in the top 10% of all nhl defensemen!

did i say he was big ?

you make excuses while offering nothing
i made a point its on you to counter not just insult and cry like a child .

Beaulieau isnt big but like Brodin was drafted before the rule changes were made
when you play a certain style your whole career then once you go Pro they change it all there's an impact .

Brad Marchand played Junior here and was So Popular that fans cheered him as loud as they did Crosby back in the day as he was a legit star who relied heavily on hits that were legal at the time he was Developing . well the Rules changed at the NHL level and Brad spent the next few years developing his game and becoming more of a pest then relying on his skill . As years passed the league's seen his skill come out at the same level that was expected of him after the Draft . Brad was pretty close though to ending up in no mans land with his Junior Captain and my former Tutor Bruce Graham .

Rule changes have an impact but it takes a certain amount of Hockey IQ to recognize it and Fantasy League fans never do .
Its always the people who support Hockey at the Junior , College or NHL that have physically been to multiple games yearly that see it

all i can say is you need to focus on what people say because you took a comment about the team and tried to manipulate it by suggesting i said Brodin when infact i specifically stated in no vague terms it was a group criticism . Shattenkirk isnt big and slow either incase you didnt clue in to the reference they're basically the same size .Shattenkirk played on a big /slow team his whole career like Brodin before a purposed trade and Shattenkirk has just now adjusted to speed based play of the East 3 teams and a buyout later .

You're coming up with hopes , dreams and wishes based on anything and everything but his actions then throwing shade
i challenge you to offer something intelligent that qualifys as a counter point and not just a middle school come back

Brodin is not fast at all
he has 2 good strides and that's all he's willing to do

Petry busts his ass o skate 200 feet back to break up a potential break away opportunity as does Mete
Brodin skates out of his zone hard but as soon as he hits the Neutral Zone he breaks stride and looks to pass to whomever is open

Petry will bust his hump and not stop skating until he's just inside the Offensive Zone Blue line
Brodin's no where near that committed despite being much younger he's not the Work Horse Petry is
