Great trade ideas for sure. I’m not an Edmonton fan but wouldn’t these line combos make more sense

Or is Chaison really good enough to be. 2nd line player. I know last year he did well. But I always thought he was a 3 or 4th line guy. Has he improved that much?

I would not want Chaisson to be in a top 6 if I want to win a cup. He had a solid year last year thanks to McDavid, Draisaitl and learning to keep his stick on the ice. He's having a tough start without those guys this year, more suited in a checking role IMO

No offense, but these trades are short-sighted. Why trade a second round pick for Wayne Simmonds??? He is not a second line winger anymore or a real improvement over, e.g. Sam Gagner. A second is waaaayyy too much for Wayne Simmonds.

Kassian is way better than Zucker right now and he has great chemistry with Draisaitl and McDavid. Why mess that up? Why give up a promising winger in Tyler Benson before even seeing if he is any good in the NHL?

Edmonton has a decent enough roster to make a playoff push right now without giving up major pieces in the form of prospects and draft picks.
