Pens say no thanks. Once chucky finally gets the monkey off his back, he’ll get on a tear

I’d much rather take a chance on Chucky than Juulson. Much higher ceiling. And once Pens D is finally healthy, Juulson will be scratched

No he won't. Galchenyuk is nothing more than a 3rd liner that can play top PP time. Penguins are going to let him walk in FA anyways, so Montreal can just get him for free. I doubt Bergevin would want him though.

Galchenyuk's ceilling has been a top 6 forward for 7 years now and he's only proved he belongs there in 1 year. Atleast with Crosby and Malkin, his many flaws are somewhat hidden, but they have many different options that would be better than him.

pens will role the dice with him. they're not going to trade him when his value is at an all time low. maybe he does nothing, or maybe he finally starts to produce once pens are fully healthy. like I said, id much rather keep him then trade him for that return

I get your point, personally I would rather get an asset for a guy than let him walk in FA. If he continues to prove while he was traded twice in the last 3 years, the Penguins will most likely let him walk in FA

I understand what you're saying, but GMJR has a tendency to give up on players and they start to perform on their next team (ex. Brassard, Perron, Pearson, etc...) Galchenyuk probably wont be resigned but his value isn't fetching much of a return that will help them for a playoff run. Consider him an "in house rental".
