I would do both from a value perspective no problem. I just don't think we can re-sign Athanasiou when we have to sign our guys this off-season.

Honestly that's pretty good value for AA, Really don't need Bode Wilde as our RD pipeline is pretty well set for the foreseeable future. Probably need more LD then RD AA will probably cost you at least 6 x 5.5 remember his agent is Darren Ferris who's known as getting top dollar for his clients.

RHD are harder to acquire. So, you do this trade. Btw, theres plenty of options in free agency for LHD, sign one of Edmundson, Muzzin, Brodie, etc and I think your defence will be set. Then draft Laf, Byfield, Raymond and you've got an excellent team for the future

Aside from Seider, I would think Bode Wilde would be your best RHD prospect.

Agree on all accounts, You're right RHD are a lot harder to acquire as there are so few of them. One of Edmunson, Muzzin or Brodie for LD would be fine maybe by a miracle we bring Krug home though pretty sure he stays in Boston. Will be tons of options for LD next summer. Value wise i'd definitely do this deal.

Yeah he'd definitely be up there, Lindstrom is still a wildcard right now. I would definitely do this deal. Doubt we'd get any better return for AA then this.

I agree, but if they find a way to part ways with the likes of Clutterbuck, Cizikas or Matt Martin, they could be ok! Plus, I don't think they'll resign Brassard, maybe?

Yup that's the hope, Top 4 down the road Cholowski-Seider McIssac-Hronek i would imagine will be our top 4 in a few years. Seider looking like a NHLer right now.

Why couldn't we resign AA? We'll have close to $40 million to sign about 10 players, We can easily afford to resign AA if he doesn't ask for insane money. Mantha 8 x 7.5 Bertuzzi 7 x 5.5 AA 7 x 6 and those are conservative numbers.

Kings are only trading Toffoli for a transaction with a pick involved and an equally expiring contract.
