Well that and ripping off Dunn... think he gets more. Seems like a lot of money spent on that right side.

Yeah I'd say Dunn starts at 3m x 2 or a lot more if he wants to go long-term - maybe something like the Sam Girard deal. Lately Parayko and Petro have been paired together to get more bang for the buck. It would work really well if Faulk could carry Bouwmeester (he can't) but I think Petro sticks around despite the money on RHD. My hope is that Faulk goes to Seattle...

Bozak or Steen is gone as of next year anyway so I don’t think it’s an issue.

Could argue Bouwmeester is carrying Faulk. I’m still disgusted that Dunn plays 5 minutes less than Faulk per game.

Is he asking for 10mil? I'd think 8-8.5 max. Am I off? Also, has this Fitzpatrick guy surpassed Husso. Husso looked good when we were sharing an AHL team with you guys.

Yeah I bet Thomas or Barbs could take that 3C spot eh?

I just have Faulk over there because he's right-handed.

Husso is better than Fitzpatrick that would be the switch. Pietrangelo on a 5 year deal I’d say 8M. And Thomas could take that spot easily.

I was thinking that Armstrong might be able to strong-arm, er, persuade Dunn to take less and then get a real great long-term deal after the expansion draft. Plus, as BeastMode points out, there might be more room if the Blues work a trade for Bozak or Steen.

Does anyone think there is a team out there willing to take Allen on without at least giving back just as much cap as they are getting? I don't. Any deal with Allen has to be money in, money out or at least pretty close to it.

I have no idea what he's asking; I'm just doing this to demonstrate to the scores of people assuming that St. Louis will let him go because he's a big-ticket UFA that there's plenty of room in the budget for him.

I'm not up on the Blues' goalie pipeline.

A buyout seems pretty favorable

Yeah, I do. New Jersey, for example.

Surprisingly haven’t hated JBO that much this year, honestly Parayko has been the guy I’ve been most disappointed with. That being said, he’ll almost certainly be fine

Buying out Steen would save $2.3MM in cap.

I don't think anyone has been that bad but Binner has def bailed them out a ton already so something is up. Gunny was bad but seemed like he was playing through some injuries. Faulk's best games are also his worst - when he dials up his activity it's a big gamble that hasn't paid dividends. Bouw has def been solid and seems to be skating well... just gets in trouble if he's hemmed in and has to stop and start. I think Parayko has been amazing at everything on our side of their blue line; indecisive offensively. Petro been great. Just my take.

No on Fitzpatrick. He's struggled quite a bit and was sent down to ECHL where he's failed to impress there. I think the Blues would like Husso to back up Binnington next year if they can find a way to get rid of Allen.

Jersey can't since Schneider is still on for 4 plus mill in the minors. I dont really see a team willing to deal for him except maybe Ottawa that doesn't require tbe Blues to take cap back.

dunn will use torey krug's bridge deal as a comparable and ask for around 5.5% of the cap (4.5 to 5m) over three or four years.

there's no chance he takes a comparable deal to barbashev

Ehhhh not sure about that. Is Allen gonna really out play Blackwood? They already have 6M in Schneider, they gonna add another 4M in Allen and still not b sure if they have a starting calibre goalie? IMO they get an established starter or they continue to play Blackwood.

Petro could sign for that, but it would be a massive discount. Market value for Petro is 10+ million and for more than 5 years.

Dunn is gonna be bigger than 1.5 x 2 haha. Blues could move salaries to make it work.

Have to consider his wife doesn't want to leave St.Louis....

and I agree I feel Dunn gets 2 years 3 Million minimum.
