Description
If the Blues don't buy out Steen or Allen... Perron or Bozak would be the ones to move in summer 2020. I chose Perron because he has the better value and it lines us up a little better to force Seattle's hand in expansion:

If the expansion rules are the same, you will have to protect Faulk since he has a NTC.

Only forced to protect guys with NMC.

I know they're the Islanders, but I don't see them agreeing to that trade. When teams know you're in cap trouble, they don't give you massive overpays.

I agree, the context is a key part of the trade value. But I didn't think it was too egregious. Perron has been playing his best hockey - great value at $4m for 2 more years. Wilde is a boom/bust type of guy that needs some more development. What do you think the return for Perron could look like? If it's nothing worthwhile, the Blues can keep him and focus on opening up cap some other way.
