deal! But I'd switch Teasdale with Vejdemo/other B prospect to keep quebec born players with us.

I know it's hindsight, but the Flyers should've sold high on Ghost. He's so bad defensively and now he's been relegated to an insignificant role now that Provorov has bounced back and excelled on the PP. I think this deal makes sense for both, but I doubt the Flyers wanna sell low.

Makes me scared because Montreal is a defensive first system, if you can't play defense, you aren't going to last very long on the team. Giving up a big package for someone who can't fit the system is a problem.

Definitely. And if he's not playing 1st PP, he's not only not gonna be very productive, he's gonna be a liability.

I mean that's very possible, only problem is we will gave two defensemen on the first PP unit. You don't take Weber out of that.

No, def. not. Weber is a fixture on the top PP unit. He's been awesome in all situations.

Lehkonen is better overall (valued penalty killer) and younger than Ghost (one dimensional and doesn't event produce much offense anymore), so Flyers add a 2nd round pick, not Habs.
Even Mete has more goals this season than Ghost, so not a really big upgrade on the point at all for Habs.

Not sure Ghost is a good trade for the Habs, unless it's something like: Rielly (same age as Ghostie), Weal and a 2nd for Ghostie & a 5th rounder.

While I agree with you, Montreal is missing a top defensemen. While Ghost currently isn't playing like one, when he had confidence, he showed he had the ability to be one. These are guys MB has to take a chance on if we ever want to be a cup contender. A team with no stars and crazy depth can only get you so far.

This Ghost deals seem to be so many Leafs deals last season for ANY RHD. Taking on long term cap at 4.5m, you better be sure the can play to his contract. It appears Ghost has declined so stay away.
Save your long term cap on a better asset.
