If they go with an interim coach, I could see Boudreau going there next year after his deal with MN expires

Babcock and Peters are not going to get another coaching job for a very long time.

If they just brought him in asap, I bet Calgary turns things around quick and then disappoints in the playoffs immediately again, as all Boudreau teams seem to do.

I bet Babs will be back behind a bench sooner than we think but not this quick. He's going to take some time to take stock. If he's going to get back to the top of the game, he's going to have to take a long hard look at how things are going and learn to evolve. Peters may never coach again.

more and more stuff will come out about Babcock, they just roasted him on TSN saying he did that Marner thing all the time, from players to equipment managers, former players saying he is a horrible human being and hated playing for him....the flood gates are open

He needs to take a few years away from the game and sure he could come back but not anytime soon.

I agree Peters is done, he wont ever coach again...but since Peters has already been labeled Babcock Protege being under him for a few seasons....it doesnt look good for Babs bc of the Peters stuff either....that needs to blow over for Babcock now too

Don't think Bruce will be fired mid-season. This team is going nowhere and our GM knows it, so firing the coach and bringing in a new guy could get our players hyped up and start playing better (like st Louis last year) thus diminishing our chances at a better pick in the draft. Unlike st Louis we aren't actually a good team, so even if we make the playoffs we aren't going far

Babs isn't racist and you can't lump him into the same group as Peters actions. Yeah Babs is old school and it's stupid that isn't the same as racist.

He's going to get fired, although this is Alberta so he may end up being even more popular lol. I am only half kidding.

I hope for the sake of Wild fans. Would be a travesty if the owner ordered the firing and the team squeeks into the playoffs as an 8th seed.

Peters won't be coaching again...I'm actually surprised he isn't already fired. As for Babcock...geeze had no idea the thing that happened with Marner was a regular thing....

Makes me wonder what Babcock said/did to guys like Commadore for the guy to say the things he said about Babcock since all this came out.

I do think Babcock will coach again...I bet Seattle is far enough down the road that it might be an option but Babcock needs to think long and hard about the things that have come out and will come out.

I’m not saying he’s racist but there is heat on Babcock now too with ex players telling the tsn overdrive that he’s a huge ahole of a human being. That’s coming out about him and with the original tweet phrasing peters as babs protege and the apple doesn’t fall From tree. Not my words...but how’s the worded teams would be wise to let any Babcock coaching talks simmer for a couple seasons

Maybe. I think Babs is going to learn some lessons here. I hope he comes back as good as he's ever been.

just bc of his tie to Peters, it would be a lightning rod to hire him anytime soon. Best thing for Babs is to take an extended period away from coaching IMO, let this all play itself out. At least he has been apologetic and owning up to his dumb tactics.

That is a huge overreaction. Babs won't be tarnished by Peters.

they are talking on Insider Trading on TSN about Babcock firing as what could be the catalyst of a culture change not just in the NHL but in hockey in general.
I dont think its an over reaction, its just how the world operates now.

No it's how the mob operates and they forget stuff as quickly as they get worked up over things. Peters is done but Babs will be back before to long.
