Ideally when it comes to trading you want to trade away guys you don't need (positional depth, selling at the deadline, etc.) who other teams are going to overvalue. I'd say the guys that we don't need on the NHL roster who we could get the most for are probably Bjugstad, Schultz, and Galchenyuk but the team is playing good right now so I don't think we should try to break this team up

Edmonton desperately needs a 3rd line center so a trade that I think we could do is

Penguins get: 2020 2nd Round Pick, 2021 4th Round Pick, Brandon Manning's contract

Oilers get: Nick Bjugstad

If we did that we would have at least $5.5 million in cap space to get a rental at the deadline

We'll take the picks but no thanks to Manning. We already have 8 dman that are capable of playing NHL minutes for us. Not to mention why would we want to add the extra cap.

I don't see the point of using Rust as " trade bait". He's playing very well right now and he's someone we can rely on wherever he plays. Also, why Poulin? He's killing it right now in juniors and he looks like he's going to be a stud.

EDM doesn't have the cap to take Bjugs without sending some cap back, and it's only for this year, bury him and it's like 2 mil dead cap for this year
