As a Penguins fan I say no. Bjugstad has not been great for us, but I still think he has more upside. I rather trade him for picks and free up that cap space instead of having to pay $3M for another 3 years after this one.

Apparently you didn't see the news about Martinez today. He's out indefinitely after a laceration to his wrist that nicked an artery and some nerves. Had surgery this morning.

Martinez probably won't be good to play for a few weeks. But even then I'd rather have Martinez for next seasson continuing to teach Walker, prospects and picks are all we want right now.

I think Byron would be a good player to put beside Crosby or Malkin, he'd ideally be what you want Galchenyuk to be. He's fast, can pass, and gets like 20 breakaways a game.

I saw it, just forgot, anyway those trades happen at the TDL

Byron score 20 goals back to back and almost got it last year but he missed games
Bjugstad did 20+ goals 1 time ...
Byron is a good veteran ( have a A on is jersey in MTL )
Change of scenary for both players

I rather test my luck with Chucky in the top 9. Especially now that he scored, I feel like he starts to put more in the net. Personally, when healthy, I dont see a spot for Bjugstad in our top 9, so I dont see one for Byron either. Just my opinion.

As a pens fan, I’d take that. For a fast puck moving forward. He would fit brilliantly in the pens lineup. Can play up and down the lineup. 3 million for a guy that can put up 15-20 goals and 35-40 points is a bargain now a days. With the pens core becoming older and more injury prone, depth isn’t a bad thing.

Guentzel-Crosby-Rust
Galchenyuk-Malkin-Hornqvist
Kahun-McCann-Simon
Byron-Blueger-Tanev
ZAR as the 13th F.

That’s a solid lineup imo

I'd say Byron would better be suited in Galchenyuk's spot. Then move Kahun and Galchenyuk down a line.

Kahun has played his best with McCann. I’m not taking him off that line. Maybe trade Simon and Byron. Cause I also wouldn’t want to take Galchenyuk off the top 6.

I don't know why. Galchenyuk has proven he doesn't belong there. He just skates around and then changes.

He’s gotten tons of chances. He’s just been snake bit. The effort has been there. Now that he’s gotten the monkey off his back last game, I want to see him for several more games up there before I remote him to 3rd line

He's been playing like that for his entire career. It won't change. I wish him luck, but don't expect him to impress you.

If he doesn’t break through after getting the monkey off his back, he’ll probably be traded at the TDL and Byron would move into the top 6 role in this scenario.
