1 is on the wrong side of 30

the other is approaching that

they both have return value of 1st round+ (some teams would overpay)

they are not throwaways, read the caption.

Stop overreacting. Half of the guys on your list are untouchable.

Keep Petry, Jeff; Lehkonen, Artturi; Armia, Joel; Chiarot, Ben and Kulak, Brett.
These guys have been Identified by management as player they want to have hence the signings. Kulak is not a bad 3rd pairing D-man and you need guys like this until the younger guys are ready to step in.

These guys are what you have for trade and some have no value or 7th rounders at best.
Byron, Paul, Tatar, Tomas, Weal, Jordan, Thompson, Nate, Reilly, Mike

What about Weber, is it time to close this door if you can come trade dead line day?

I'm pretty sure he edited that list.

Lehkonen shouldn't be traded.

I'd say no. Weber is almost a PPG and he's a defensive defensemen. He's really been our only player who's played A1 since the start of the season.

His value is high then and if aren't going anywhere this year by TDL then I think they should look at the possibility, he'll be 35 to start next season.

I don't think the plan is to trade Weber. Even if he's not producing, his leadership will always be there. I don't really see how he can regress, he will never lose his shot.

I agree with your logic but I'm thinking about the injury factor and that it looks like the Habs are still a ways away from hoisting #25.

Besides his knee surgery, he hasn't had an injury in a long time

He's only in his 4th year with the team but hasn't played a full season other than the first year with 78 GP. We will see what happens this year but I hope I didn't just jinx him.
