I get the devils trade but why are we making this trade with the blues? Cap reasons? There are many other decent prospects we could go after. Ones that may be nhl ready shortly with higher ceilings.

This deal makes some sense for the Leafs, but no reason to do it at the deadline. Because both players are under term it would likely go down in the summer once the Leafs have no RHD.

Not sure if the Devils would be keen though considering their depth of young forwards.

You'd be better off trading for someone other than Severson. Maybe someone like Savard

You'd have to give up more, but you'd be getting an actual defenseman

I don't get why so many Leaf ACM are trading Kerfoot he has been excellent this season.

You know Leaf fans. Other teams third line centres are so much better than the Leafs third liner. 6th and 7th Dmen on all teams are better than the Leafs 2nd pairing. All NHL # 2 goalies and most other teams AHL goalies are better than the Leafs # 2 and 3 goalies.

I'm not even a leafs fan lol

Moving Kerfoot is strictly for cap reasons,
