What, why would either team do that. Specifically Buffalo who has 14 defenseman and an absolute need at forward. The Sabres defense hasnt been their problem, their lack of offense is

Tho I agree that offense is a problem and needs to be addressed, the defense may be able to skate and pass the puck but they totally suck in defending their own end. To many goals are tap ins and deflected shots in front of the net. I agree this isn't the right trade but I think a D for D trade wouldn't be a bad idea if a defensive D-man was coming back.

Friedman said this morning they are talking to Calgary and Pittsburgh so I'm sure it's about a forward. He also said GMJB wants to make an impact trade.
