Those are some pretty optimistic returns, if you ask me. In particular, I wouldn't think that Detroit would trade Hronek for less than Zucker and a first. He's their next Niklas Lidstrom.

If Milan Lucic is tradeable, then so is Victor Rask, but that ain't gonna be the return.

Galchenyuk trade isn't too bad, but if we're rebuilding it doesn't make sense to acquire a rental unless you're planning on flipping him. Still think I'd rather trade Brodin for picks than Galchenyuk, though.

Vancouver says no. Hughes is looking like a potential Norris candidate in the future. You'll probably have to give up way more than what would be fair to get him. Sergachev is probably a more realistic trade target if you're looking for a young LD.

STL says no. Rask has negative value and Donato isn't worth much more than a 3rd at this point.

DET says no. They are in a rebuild so they don't need Dubnyk. A team like Carolina might pay a 3rd or a 2nd if you're lucky for him, though.

I like the general idea here, which is to get younger and acquire picks. This team needs an influx of youth and speed.
